New Year, New Plan!

Here we are – already halfway through January 2010 – just that sound “2010” has a positive, futuristic feel to it. Are your marketing, specifically your e-marketing goals, positioned for the future?

If you have not set your 2010 web site plans into place – now is the time to do it so you can begin to implement them and maximize the potential benefits.

Here are some things you should be doing to capitalize on the results you can get from your web site:

Email Campaigns
Email campaigns are a great way to stay in contact with your existing client base and notify them of special announcements, events, recent wins and so on.

  1. Forecast for at least one email campaign a month. Select your topic and begin putting the content together now so you are prepared in advance.

  2. Capture contacts via your web site by encouraging users to register for your company announcements or news.

  3. Create an account with an email campaign tool like mailermailer.com or constantcontact.com so you can easily manage each campaign layout and messaging, administer your contacts, and orchestrate the frequency for each campaign delivery.

Regular Web Site Updates
Make sure the content on your site is accurate and updated. Take a few minutes each week to comb through your site – especially the home page to see if there is anything current that should be added or removed. Your users want to see fresh content – and so do search engines!

Hop on the Social Networking Train!
If you have not done so already, starting a Blog or getting on Facebook may seem intimidating – but social networking has become a basic part of any marketing plan and it’s a trend that is growing and here to stay. MJ can help you set up a Blog or Facebook page.

These are three very basic yet important elements to an effective online marketing plan. Please let us know how we can help you get them in place for 2010!
